Warrandyte’s “Dopey Dumper”
Dear Diary,
Over the last six to eight months, someone has dumped a Coles bag of rubbish at multiple locations along Beauty Gully, Harris Gully, and Warrandyte-Heidelberg roads, breaking the brown paper bag and spreading their rubbish along the verge.
This seems to happen weekly (twice this week).
The rubbish has a distinctive pattern: Lots of tissues, cotton buds, blood orange and watermelon skins, hand-soap boxes, lactose-free yoghurt packaging and containers, pages from the Herald Sun, plastic food containers, paper towels, tissue boxes, toilet roll inserts, delicatessen wrapping, and shampoo containers.
But, of course, nothing that would identify these gutless morons.
We, and other disgusted citizens, have cleared up the mess many times.
I cannot fathom how someone can do this; they don’t seem to care or understand the implications and impact of their irresponsible actions on the creeks, rivers, and the environment in general.
Warrandyte needs to help stop this vandalism.
If you see someone throw a brown paper Coles bag from their vehicle, please report the rego to the police.|
