OBITUARY

Walter has gone for his last drive.

Born on 2 October 1933, Walter lived a long and richly layered life grounded in curiosity, craftsmanship, and quiet dedication. A long-time resident of Warrandyte, he was deeply connected to his community, his family, and his passions.

Walter was a renowned painter and long-serving educator whose teaching career and artistic practice spanned decades.

Through both brush and classroom, he inspired generations with patience, discipline, and a deep respect for creativity.

He was also an avid MG motor car enthusiast, a member of the Melbourne MG Car Club since its inception, and a proud Life Member.

The road, the machine, and the friendships formed along the way brought him immense joy.

Walter is survived by his beloved wife Denise; his son Matthew and his wife Imogene, and their twin daughters Isobel, Genevieve; his daughter Jannie, her husband Bruce, and their children Roy and Ali; and his stepdaughter Melissa and her husband Troy, stepson Craig, and stepdaughter Cecelia and her husband Tony.

He will be remembered for his generosity of spirit, his steady hand, his love of learning, and a life well lived.

Lovingly remembered. Deeply missed.
